Manuka Biotic, Natural Wisdom for Therapeutic Benefits
Since I started researching about and using natural and organic beauty products a few years ago, I’ve come to a few conclusions. Making healthier decisions in any regard (eating healthier foods, exercising more or using natural products) is an ongoing process, and a necessary one. As a consumer, you have to make choices every day about what’s best for you and your family, and I believe that even the smallest trade-offs are worth it. I believe that natural beauty is part of being healthy. Period.
I like knowing that everything that is absorbed into my skin isn’t going to create future problems with my kidneys, or help cancer cells develop into tumors. Remember what goes on, goes in!
Which, is why I am doing my very first review with natural skincare company, Manuka Biotic.
Who are they?
Manuka Biotic was founded by Tim Murray, whose family-based farm business has been selling Manuka Oil for over 20 years. From their base in the pristine Coramandel Mountains they distil their own Manuka essential oil so that it remains 100% certified organic. In fact, they were the first certified organic producers of Manuka oil in the world!

Tim and his passionate team control every step of product development, formulation, testing and filling to deliver safe and effective products that care for your skin and hair - and the environment.
The company prides itself on their sustainable and environmentally responsible processes. Committed to sustainable practices, the farm only uses about 5-10% of the plants available on its farm in any year. This avoids placing undue pressure on the plants, allowing each section of the property to regrow naturally and for the company to maintain the health of its plants.

The organic manuka oil skincare range is made using natural ingredients, excluding hundreds of chemicals that can be potentially harmful to your health, cause skin irritations and more.
They have specifically formulated their range to suit those with normal to sensitive skin, skin conditions and allergies. Their products can be used by anyone who is looking for great natural products to help keep the whole body healthy.
The hero ingredient Manuka Oil is renowned for its potent antimicrobial properties. For centuries, New Zealand Maori have used the Manuka Oil from the native tea tree, Manuka, to treat everything from rheumatism and fevers to burns and skin disorders.
Used in skin care, the antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties of remarkable Manuka Oil combat skin irritation and infections, including acne-causing bacteria.
The products are free from: parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate & SLES PEGs, PABA, EDTA, added fragrances & colouring, petrochemicals, mineral oils, phenoxyethanol, propylene glycol, phthalates, animal testing or animal derivatives. So, all the nasty stuff!
In the range, which has attractive and suitable teal packaging, there is a shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, body lotion, light day cream and hand cream.
Healthy Head & Hair Organic Manuka Oil Shampoo. It is a great everyday shampoo that leaves my hair feeling fresh and clean. The shampoo smells almost like tea tree and doesn't contain artificial ingredients to create a lot of lather but it cleanses very well and rinses off easily. The addition of Moroccan Oil adds a shine to my hair!
Healthy Head & Hair Organic Manuka Oil Conditioner.A really nourishing conditioner, full of natural goodness. It leaves my hair feeling well moisurised and my hair doesn't feel heavy. I have fairly fine hair and it definitely has more body, and more of bounce! Loving the smell too!
Nourishing Natural Hand Cream.After using it daily for over a week I definitely noticed that my hands were softer and more hydrated. When you first put it on it isn't greasy, which I love as you can add it in the day and it absorbs deep into the skin leaving hands feeling soft and smooth. It absorbs beautifully too!
Natural Face Cleanser.After cleansing it left my face face feeling refreshed and clean. I was happy to find out that it was also protecting my skin from free radicals with anti-aging green tea extract.
Natural Body Lotion.Another nourishing cream with all those natural oils providing rapid relief from dryness. I have been putting it on my kids every night as they both suffer from mild eczema and Manuka Oil has anti-inflammatory properties. It has completely disappeared, which I am thrilled about! But not only that - their skin is really well nourished too.
Natural Face Cream. I will be honest that I don't wear this every day as I am pretty strict about wearing a face cream with SPF in it, and one that targets wrinkles. I'm at the age! In saying that, it is light wearing and very moisturising with restorative ingredients and essential vitamins that really replenish the skin. I can't wait for when they bring out a mature age face cream!
