Affirming 2015 with Motivational Quotes and Affirmations

Wow, 2014 has just flown by! I can't believe it is that time of year already. It is time for me to reflect on the year that's been, where I look at if I have achieved what I set out to during the year and consider how I might move forward into the New Year ahead.

It is also time for me to get back into doing daily affirmations.

They motivate me and motivation is the protein that provides energy to reach my goals.

Daily affirmations provide the fuel for the action.

You may start without motivation. But if you repeat affirmations regularly, daily if you can, a time will come when the urge to do will come from the inside without any prompting. Action will be on auto pilot till you reach the goal.

Reciting affirmations daily, first thing in the morning, before I start my day is one good way for me to get and stay motivated and inspired.

Why don't you try it?

Below, I have provided a few of my favourite motivational quotes and affirmations to help fuel your personal motivational needs. Enjoy!

Monday Mojo post

This quote gave me one of those Oprah 'ah ha' moments. Here I was trying to change everything in my life when all I needed to do was look at my daily habits and start from there. To observe what worked and what didn't work, and then change something. Something small. Something simple. That's all that was needed to make greater change. It makes so much sense but I had never seen it expressed this way. I use this affirmation on days when I feel like falling back into bad habits.

Dalai-Lama-on-Healers

I have many spiritual guides and mentors, however the Dalai Lama is my ultimate inspiration. I met him at his hometown, Macleod Gange, in 1999, and it changed my life forever. I couldn't go back to the person I was, with my rose colored glasses, no matter how hard I tried - as ignorance is bliss! I am so grateful to this man for his innate wisdom, unique insight, unwavering kindness,  unbridled happiness, sincere generosity and special healing powers. This quote from him sums it up. So many of us are focused on making money, to be successful, to be famous, etc, etc.., when the real success in life is happiness, giving, love, peace, family, relationships. He is the spiritual leader of our generation.

Confident

I have this magnet on my fridge. It has been on two fridges, for more than six years, and is now falling apart. But I won't take it down. Why? For many years when I was a teenager I imagined this perfect future. I truly believed that I was going to have a life only filled with success, love and happiness. And you know what? Some of it has happened. But then some of it hasn't. This affirmation reminds me to keep going for this dream. To keep strong, confident and resolute. To never give up on what's possible.
