Getting your Mojo Glow on, Inside and Out!

This week I shared more of my diet and detox tips, tools, and tricks to help you get that mojo glow! You also took steps to reduce your toxic exposure in the home.

The home toxic dangers that I shared with you this week, along with the steps to reduce them in your life, may seem overwhelming and complicated at first.

I get it. There is so much to consider, understand, and do.

However, your aim is not to control everything - that’s actually going to be impossible and totally unrealistic.

Your aim is to change the things that you CAN control, step-by-step, so you can worry less about the things you can’t.

By taking it day-by-day, step-by-step, you will reduce the level of external toxic exposures, and you will experience the health benefits.

You will feel healthier, you will get closer to your weight goals, and your skin will start to exhibit a radiant mojo-esk glow!

So now you have managed to remove environmental toxins in your home, does this, along with the other detox steps (diet, filtered water, etc), mean you are back to optimum health and vitality?

Well..., not completely.

Not if your home is full of stress, anger, resentment, jealousy, unhappiness and a lack of love, compassion and forgiveness. Your home will be still be toxic!

Feeling stressed, along with negative emotions totally sucks, as it zaps your energy and steals your mojo! But by taking care of yourself, you will be best placed to deal with all that life throws at you. My stress-reduction techniques in this module can ensure that it doesn't steal your new (or new to be) found mojo!

There’s also your Week 3 Wrap Up, along with tips and tricks for reducing the harmful chemicals in your kitchen, the heart of your home.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

Top Tips to Detox your Kitchen

The kitchen is the heart of the home where your family spends much of its time congregating around family meals.

Many of the storage containers, cooking utensils, and cookware that you use on a daily basis contain these toxins which over time can leach chemicals into your food and start to play havoc with your health - and that of your family.

Taking some simple steps to detox your kitchen can reduce your overall toxic load. Start small and get rid of the common culprits, and you will start to breathe easier in one of the most important rooms of your home.

And, remember the goal is never 100% purity. Instead, the goal is imperfect action towards a healthier, less toxic life.

Do the best you can.

Watch my video to learn about how to reduce the toxic exposure in your kitchen.

As you are cooking, do you actually think about what you are using?

In a lot of ways this is just as important as WHAT you’re eating.

The kitchen is a room that you’re already flexing your healthy muscles in - eating the 28-Day Diet, meal planning, and all in the name of achieving optimal health.

So it makes perfect sense to start tackling the toxins that are hiding out and potentially sabotaging your efforts at getting and staying healthy!

Unfortunately the kitchen is a hidden source of toxins and carcinogens - Bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, PFOAs, metalloestrogens, to name but a few!

Eliminate Stress to Help Eliminate Toxins

Stress is often described as a feeling of being overloaded, wound-up tight, tense and worried. It can sometimes help motivate us to get a task finished, or perform well.

This resulted in an accumulation of toxins - bacterial infection, and mould and metal toxicity, which lead to adrenal fatigue (produced when your adrenal glands can't adequately meet the demands of stress), and eventually a chronic illness.

On my journey to wellness, stress-reduction techniques made a profound difference to my health, both mental and physical.

One of my top recommendations is to do regular deep breathing. It's free, it can be done anywhere, anytime, and it's effective in releasing stress before it takes hold. Watch my video for a deep breathing technique, and download my guide, ‘Top 10 Tips to Detox Stress’.

But stress can also be very harmful if it involves ongoing demands, pressures and worries that seem to go on forever, with little hope of letting up.

No one can deny that the past couple of years has bought with it a lot of stress! We have all been impacted by the changes, whether that be our health, relationships, financials, loss of freedom, or all the above.

It has been a total Mojo killer!

But not only does stress steal our MOJO, it’s also extremely toxic to the body. That’s why whenever you do a detox you should ALWAYS release stress too.

When I was younger I didn't have the tools to deal with big life changes, like COVID-19, and the ongoing stress was depleting my body of nutrients and compromising my immune system.
