Today you kick-start your 3-week weight loss phase of the program. I appreciate Monday can be a crazy day with school bags to pack, looking for lost bus passes, washing uniforms last minute... If this sounds like you, please don't fret, it's only day 1.
Don’t forget that my motto, “progress not perfection” exists for a reason.
Being perfect is IMPOSSIBLE, and the sooner we can connect with that truth the better.
I am not perfect. NONE of us are.
Striving for perfection is unrealistic and damaging, and sets us up for failure because it’s simply not possible.
So in case you need to hear this message today, here’s the red hot truth: You don’t need to be ‘perfect’. You are worthy and good enough just by the fact of your very existence.
Do not apply pressure to be PERFECT.
Try changing your mindset to a "growth mindset" rather than a "fixed mindset".
This way even more is possible, and without all the "self-judgement" and the "giving up because what you are striving for is impossible".
All you need to do is take simple steps towards achieving something you want, at a pace that suits you and helps you reach your goals in a sustainable way.
So with this in mind, what diet step could you take? Start the day with a warm lemon water? Drink filtered water, instead of tap water throughout the day? Make a breakfast smoothie each morning? Eat plant-based meals at lunch time?
